About the Springfield Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce in Springfield is an active leader in promoting a healthy and prosperous community. We encourage and welcome businesses to our community and provide networking opportunities, educational scholarships, and leadership training for individuals and for the business community.

The Springfield Chamber of Commerce also serves as the official Springfield Visitors Center and is housed in The Historic Springfield Railroad Depot. Our Staff

Dan has been the Springfield Chamber's Executive Director since August of 1995. In the past 16 years, Dan has been a constant champion for the welfare of our members and the economy of the region. He is originally from Minnesota but has lived in Oregon since 1981. Dan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth majoring in Political Science and English.

As the Membership Director, Jason promotes membership, meets with new businesses, maintains connections with members, and serves as liaison to the Membership Committee. Jason was raised in Springfield and enjoys the beauty and diversity of the area's outdoor activities. He has attended West Point, Jefferson Community and Lane Community Colleges studying communications and broadcasting.

Currently the Office Manager, Natasha has worked at the Springfield Chamber for over two years. She loves that Chamber life is never dull and especially enjoys her work with the Education and Economic Development Committees. Natasha is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but now savors the beauty of Oregon and access to locally grown and produced food. Natasha obtained her B.A. from Macalester College in Russian Language & Area Studies.

Jeff Thompson joined the Springfield Chamber as the Community Relations Director in February of 2013 after having been a member of the Chamber since June 2011. Born and raised in Honolulu, he is a recent transplant to Springfield and enjoys everything about living in Lane County. With almost 30 years in various nonprofit administrative roles, he brings a unique lens on the world and continues to learn about the many great businesses in the area. Jeff is a graduate of the inaugural Springfield Leadership Workshop that took place in January 2012. Jeff joined the Chamber's Government Issues and Economic Development committees almost 2 years ago and will continue attending in his role at the Chamber. Jeff was recently appointed to serve on the Willamalane Budget Committee for the next three years.

Judy has worked for the Springfield Chamber in membership sales for nearly two years. Judy enjoys meeting business people and helping them grow their business. She moved to the Springfield area three years ago from Lake County, California. In Lake County, Judy and her husband owned a marketing company and were proudly active in the local chamber. She enjoys Springfield's diversity and sense of community.

Tori helps local business professionals make new connections and build relationships at the many events hosted by the Springfield Chamber each year. She has been with the Springfield Chamber since 2004 and currently holds the position of Program Manager. Tori has lived in Springfield for most of her life and is proud of the community's supportive nature.

Ken Harris joined the Springfield Chamber's membership sales team in the fall of 2011. Ken is a retired contractor and business owner and enjoys building relationships with the diverse members of the Chamber. The Chamber's dedication to its members and the community is appealing to Ken, a long- time resident of Springfield and Lane County.

Bill has been with the Springfield Chamber since 2008. He enjoys finding out how the Chamber can help potential members. Bill was born in The Netherlands but has lived in the Springfield/Eugene area since 1981 after retiring from the military. He appreciates the array of amenities in the area and the access to many health food grocery stores. Bill has a B.S. and M.A. in History from the University of San Francisco.

As the Visitor Services Manager, Vicki helps people learn about what to do and see in Springfield and the surrounding area. Although Vicki is originally from Wenatchee, Washington, Springfield has been her home for most of her life. She enjoys the climate, exploring the outdoors and the proximity to the coast, mountains and the high desert. She attended Lane Community College and holds an A.A., Administrative Assistant.

Katie joined the staff at the Springfield Chamber in 2011 as the Membership Assistant. Katie enjoys helping develop the membership program and working to deliver new member benefits. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on music, education and political science. Katie moved to the area in 2010 from Weatherford, Oklahoma, and is enjoying Oregon's natural beauty, mountains and the coast.

Marilee Woodrow joined the Chamber staff in the summer of 2012, while she has been involved in the Chamber and its activities for over 12 years. Marilee also represents Ward 5 as an elected Springfield City Councilor. She obtained her B.A. from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania (1972, Double Major concentration in Counseling and Education). Originally from Pennsylvania, she arrived "home" in Springfield in 1997. Marilee says the Springfield community has unquestionably come to be her "hometown". She believes that in helping other community members in whatever fashion, you do not reach down to help them, but across to meet them.
