Answers to Your Questions About Membership
No. Membership with the Springfield Chamber does not depend on where you happen to live or work. The Springfield Chamber supports businesses large and small from across the region, including Cottage Grove, Creswell, Junction City and Eugene. Even if your business or organization happens to be outside Springfield, the benefits of association with our Chamber include advertising, marketing, and networking—universally valuable tools for any business regardless of where they happen to call home.
Individual Membership, or "Friends of the Chamber", are private citizens that contribute to the Springfield Chamber's mission through annual membership dues which are generally half the cost of a business membership. Individual members cannot use the benefits of membership to promote their business or services, but instead rely on their Individual Membership to keep them connected to the Chamber, and networked in the community.
A trick question! There are currently more than 1,000 members in the Springfield Chamber, and different sections of the membership will meet at different times, either for networking, collaboration, leadership steering, or with a committee. There are no mandatory events for any member, though attendance and participation are encouraged to maximize the benefits of membership. Any member can meet as often—or as little—as their time allows. The Springfield Chamber plans and promotes events and programs throughout the year with various dates and times to accommodate the busy schedules of all our members.
We invite guests and Future Members to attend nearly all our events, including the Springfield Greeters networking committee and Business After Hours. Both of these regularly scheduled events are a great forum to meet members and to learn about the powerful networking our membership can provide. The helpful and professional staff at the Springfield Chamber can also help you decide if membership is a good fit by learning more about your business and the services you provide. Chances are that there is a benefit of membership that works very well for your particular model—whether exposure, growing your pool of contacts, or developing a stronger connection to the community, we can help!
Membership is an annual commitment to the Springfield Chamber. Dues are calculated based on the size of the workforce represented. Membership dues are invested at the time of enrollment, either at the annual rate or even two semi-annual payments. Membership dues can be paid by check, cash, or credit card. Applications and card payments can be accepted online as well by clicking on the Membership tab on the site's navigational menu. The Springfield Chamber has also launched a new ACH Program for members that wish to make an annual investment in monthly installments. For more details about this new program, please contact the Springfield Chamber membership department.
