You are visiting one of the Northwest's most progressive, forward-moving cities - Springfield, Oregon. Please take a look at the places and people that make Springfield a wonderful city to visit or to live. Life is good here, and the future is bright.
Springfield is a growing city of approximately 60,000 and a part of Oregon's second-largest area - Springfield and Eugene - at nearly 250,000 in the metro area. It is a town growing in sophistication, but retaining neighborhoods and connections as it changes.
People are important here. Schools, businesses, government all combine to strive to make Springfield the kinds of city in which you can raise a family, work and relax.
Springfield is strategically located in the southern end of the beautiful Willamette Valley, two hours from Portland and one hour from the Oregon Coast. Springfield's Visitor Center is located in the historic Southern Pacific Railroad Depot. The facility is home to the Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
